On our way down the 101 Highway we passed through the Avenue of the Giants and drove quite a while on a part of the Highway which is called Redwood Highway. Especially I was super excited about that part of the trip because I love forests and this one is supposed to be amazing or you could even say that´s "the" forest, the king of the forests!
It felt quite mystic to walk through the ancient trees and the vibe was absolutely magical! They looked pretty elegant moving with the wind and I swear I was able to sense all their wisdom which they gained within the last 800 years. We learned that the oldest tree is about 950 years old and and most of them survived several fires and nature catastrophes as earthquakes and floods. I was deeply impressed and loved being there a lot! It is a beautiful drive and highly recommended by us :D
