.....bad luck and other stories from the two biggest idiots on the planet :D

....our car is an asshole a.k.a on the way to redwood national park or not!
Sometimes bad things are happening. Especially when they happen 2 days in a row.  The two of us were almost crying but in the end we accepted our faith and had a fun time. On our way to the Oregon dunes we heard a weird and scary sound when we turned the stirring wheel. It happened right after we got up in the morning and everyone was kind of confused but we wanted to let someone professional check it out instead of continuing the journey and have a big crash on the highway. The Car repair  had a look on it and told us that they would order a new stirring gearbox for us to replace the old one and it´d take a day to receive it. That meant that we had to wait and spend a wonderful day on the beach in Oregon.... some might think: not too bad.

On the next day we got the broken part fixed and continued our trip. At this moment no one was expecting the mess which happened the day after :D ( click on the continue button below :))

After a wonderful day in the Oregon Dunes ( I`ll tell you about that in our next post) we stopped in Klamath in the middle of the day and fell asleep pretty fast. We wanted to start really early in the morning to pass the Avenue of the Giants when it is still bright and sunny outside. We started super motivated and wanted to look for showers along the way but after 1,5 miles Lucas wasn´t able to shift the gears and the engine stopped abruptly to work so that we had to roll to the side. We couldn´t believe that it was happening all over again....

Luckily an older couple took us back to the close petrol station where we could call a Tow-Company to get our car to a Car repair, again.

When we walked back, the Highway police was already waiting for us and we expected the worst but they were nice people and helped us a lot.
As it was sunday we were expecting to hang out in a shitty american little village again which doesn´t made us happy at all. American villages are quite boring, beautiful though but we were kind a fed up with hanging out and waiting for the good luck to find us.
The driver who towed our car was really helpful and recommended a car repair ( the guy was a santa claus lookalike and his laughter was pretty similar, too) SO YEAH we were able to keep on driving to the Avenue of the Giants and made it right on time before sunset! I WAS SUPER HAPPY!!!
