my time in New york is almost over and today was kind of my last day to explore Brooklyn and Williamsburg.
I met up with one of my hosts in Williamsburg to have lunch together and walk around in that part of the city. It was nice but as every other city with a lot of gentrification nothing special. I feel like in comparison with Kreuzberg there isn´t a significant difference. You are always meeting the same group of people with the same interest and opinions in a district like this. I have to admit that the thai and the smoothies we had, were actually really good though.
After that i took the train back home which made me go back to Manhattan to head to Brooklyn ( super weird :) ) and because i had to change the train at Union Square i decided to just walk around a little bit more and absorb the vibe.
It turned out to be a super nice day and I found myself on the top of the Rockefeller center watching the sunset! The view is breath taking and I could swear I was able to feel the world´s movement up there!
When I came back home one of the other roommates were there and we started a mind blowing conversation. Couchsurfing is just so the best, I really learned a lot and got an insight of the American way of Life. It definitely helped me to understand a few things better for example what is most important to them and how society is working in America. I´m super thankful for this entire experience and I already feel that my horizon got extended in a massiv value!
