hanging out in Lincoln City, Ape Caves and problems along the way......

this post is going to be just a short note because we are sitting in a car repair and waiting for our vehicle to be fixed the second time on this trip down the west coast.
Portland was really nice and hanging out on Justin´s floor was more comfortable the second night. Luckily there were not any snoring people around....puuuh!

At Justin´s place we met Lena and Nick and decided to go up to Washington again to visit the Ape Cave. It is a really big and 5°C cave and it is completely dark inside so that everyone of us was wearing head lamps and one additional lamp to see at least a little bit. We were climbing for around 2,5 hours through complete darkness and I slid into a stone wall and got a beautiful bump on my forehead :D.

After we arrived the exit everyone was super hungry and we ended up eating in a typical american small town restaurant which looked exactly as I was expecting it! The portions were crazy big and the waitress filled our glass every 5 mins with sugar water :)

Lena and Nick were inviting us to have an overnight at their campground but we decided to keep on driving and to our next station! At around midnight we stopped in Lincoln City and after 45 mins we found a suitable place to sleep in the car. As if it was our first overnight in the car we were quite excited and of course something weird happened at our first stop: a car stopped than we could hear a loud sound and the car drove away like crazy! We were super scared and drove back into the little town to sleep next to a petrol station where we felt safe :)
